This section is largely me working out what equipment I am interested in. As I have a Canon camera it focuses on Canon equipment.

As this is the second complete SLR outfit I have had to outfit, I learnt the first time around the value of looking at the whole system up-front.  I make this available in the hope it will be useful and interesting to others.

This is a potted history of my photographic hardware.

These are my thought on lens selection for the EOS 20D and beyond.

And a look at the more affordable long lenses also, and here at specialist items for macro photography, and perspective control.
