Conclusion
There is quite a surprising result here. The Nikkor 24mm f2.8 provides the best sharpness but is not dramatically better than the Canon 24mm f2.8.
The Contax was best in the very centre of the frame but not good at the edges. The Leica was probably the worst performer.
Again although there was clear improvement from the Nikkor it is debatable if the advantage is sufficient to justify the use on a Canon body.
